Decks fall in and out of favor; such is the wheel of progress. In Legacy, the wheel might turn slower than in other formats, but turn it does. We wanted to know what Legacy decks people considered overrated at the moment, so we asked some eminent experts of the game for their opinion …

Julian Knab, second among the MKMS Power 8: “Death & Taxes, unfortunately. It's still playable, but it does have a really tough time against the best decks of the format, which happen to be played a lot right now.”

Philipp Krieger, German national champion and WMC semifinalist: “Czech Pile.”

Jonathan Anghelescu, member of the MKMS Power 8: “Most overrated used to be Czech Pile, but it lost a lot of its popularity in the recent past.”

Oliver Polak-Rottmann, GP champion and former Platinum pro: “Every single Delver of Secrets / Insectile Aberration strategy. I think that every blue deck without Delver is strictly better than the ones with it.”

Hans Joachim Höh, GP and PT quarterfinalist: “Grixis Delver—not because the deck isn't great, but because it is played a bit too much for how good it is.”
