Metagame Breakdown

Our Legacy meta, for the second month in a row, is more diverse than our Modern metagame, with the highest share of any single deck being 8%, which Storm, Reanimator, and our RUG + 4c category managed to secure. U/R Delver was just below its three and four color brethren at 7%, and Death & Taxes, Depths and Show and Tell managed to secure 6% each. Five archetypes coincidentally managed 5%, and they were 4C Loam, 4C Snow Control, Bomberman, Stoneblade, and W/U Control (our Miracles decks were in this category). Finally, we have our 3% decks in BUG Delver (a huge surprise) and Goblins! Clearly the Goblins are popular in both Legacy and Modern.

Our Others category notably had Dredge, Jeskai Mentor, and MUD just barely falling short of making our list and a large host of single decks, from Oops All Spells to Painter’s Servant and everything in between. This wasn’t our largest Legacy Main Event, but it was highly diverse and really shows that Wrenn and Six hasn’t had the overcentralizing effect that players feared – at least not quite yet. We’ll see what the format has in store for us in Prague!
