Metagame Breakdown

Our Legacy meta is even wider than our Modern meta… a rare accomplishment at our series. Wrenn and Six has definitely made itself known, with our U/B/R/x Control and Other Delver, both of which consist mostly of Wrenn decks, at 8% and 5% respectively. Miracles also managed an 8% share, now with the new Narset, Parter of Veils and Teferi, Time Raveler. It’s always a popular choice at our events though, so I wouldn’t read too much into it. Storm and Sneak & Show were the combo decks of choice, each grabbing 7% of the meta. Turbo Depths, now with Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis, was the next best performing combo deck at 5%. Delver took a combined 16% of the meta, mostly in U/R, R/U/G, or 4-Color. Eldrazi Aggro managed 4% of the meta, along with Stoneblade, Reanimator, and Death & Taxes. Aggro Loam and 12-Post brought up the rear with 3% and 2% respectively.

Our Others category had a lot of decks just below the threshold (and a solid 28% of the metagame), including Red Prison, Maverick, Lands, and Elves. Ninjas, as some saw on stream, secured a few pilots along with a lot of interesting brews of old favorites like Bombermentor. This meta shows Wrenn’s impact on the format, but that impact seems to be diversifying Legacy in interesting ways. As a result, Legacy looks fresher than ever and we can’t wait to see more!
