Going into the weekend, many players wondered what deck would end up on top of the standings in our Vintage event. The format is as open as ever, with Mentor Control having a big target on its back, once again turning out to be the most popular deck in the format, just like it did back in Prague.
However, just like in Prague, it was another deck that was able to best the competition: Oscar Basart and his Storm deck proved too powerful for all of his opponents this weekend. Surprisingly enough, many of them didn't come prepared and their sideboards were desperately lacking some tech cards against the explosive archetype.

The big two decks at our Vintage main event this weekend were Mentor and Oath. Also, note that the third most-represented deck was just as popular as the Other category, showing us that the spread was not as big in this tournament when compared to past Vintage events that had been held at the MKM Series.
In the end, Oscar Basart had a rather easy time thanks to the fact that few other players came prepared for the aggressive Storm deck. The event can therefore serve as a kind reminder that you need to come prepared and have something in your sideboard against all the decks that are viable contenders in the format.
