194 players entered the Legacy main event. Death and Taxes and Miracles were among the most-played decks in the field overall, and these two decks also met in the finals. The resulting match was one of the most epic we've ever had at the Series. It included a late-game Cataclysm from Death and Taxes (which resolved) and then an even-later-game Entreat the Angels from Miracles, and then a win for Death and Taxes! It was weird, it was awesome, it was … a Miracle.

On the eve of MKM Series Paris, it was once again time for us to follow long-standing tradition and to review what happened last time at the MKM Series. Seven weeks ago, players from all over Europe gathered in Prague for the third stop of the MKM Series 2018,...

Metagame Breakdown

The most played deck was a bit of a surprise in Legacy, with Death and Taxes fielding a whopping 25 players, making it the only deck with more than 10% of the field and a full 10 more pilots than the next highest list – Grixis Control. Miracles came in just under Grixis Control, with 14 players choosing Terminus over Kolaghan's Command.

Various tempo decks also performed quite admirably, with U/R Delver and U/B Death's Shadow each chosen by 11 pilots. Eldrazi Aggro and Mono-Red Prison both performed well, producing 19 total players and Elves was the most played tribal deck after Eldrazi, with eight pilots.

Some notable decks that fell into our Others categories are Leovold Control, which found a home with six pilots, about half of which chose 4-color variants. Storm and Lands put up four and five players respectively, and there was a huge smattering of one-of and two-of decks, from Turbo Stasis to a new Ninja-Splinter Twin deck.
