We're here in Zaragoza, which is playing host to the finale of the 2018 MKM Series. Players are gathering to see who will be crowned the 2018 MKM Series Champion. Speaking of which, the Top 4 are practically in a dead heat, all within a slim four-point margin.

Standard is all new and shiny, following rotation and an exciting new Ravnica set. The format is wide-open still, but Golgari decks have definitely been the clear favorite. We're guessing, given our players admiration of control in the other formats, that this won't be the case here. Will we get three W/U/x Champions in our constructed formats? Only time will tell. Metagame Breakdown

Well, now that's a surprise! Golgari Midrange was the presumed frontrunner going into the weekend, but with players here at Zaragoza's Standard main event Jeskai Control turned out to be more popular.

Elsewhere, it was a big weekend for White Weenie/Boros Aggro, but that data point also wasn't replicated here in Spain. That, next to Jeskai and Golgari, the top four decks decks included Izzet and Mono-Red Aggro was in line with expectations at least. So the metagame breakdown was one half business as usual and one half big news, which gives us reason to look forward to the Top 8!
